Weiss, Ph.D., Instructor) Desktop Publications Seminar Georgia Tech Computer Institute Four Concourse Parkway Atlanta, Georgia (1986) Attendees moved through exercises with modern "desk-top publication" hardware and software. This course helped students understand and specify an "in-house" publications system. People Skills Seminar Monsanto, St. Louis (1987) This management training course dealt with practical methods of handling people and personalities in business situations. Coursework stressed effective communication techniques and it suggested an analytical approach to defining an employee's skills. CONCEPPTS '93 Orlando, Florida This week-long exhibition contained several seminars that gave attendees intense exposure to trends in electronic pre-publishing. Exhibitors emphasized ways to reduce costs and improve quality.
